MUSEUM IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR REDEVELOPMENT
While the museum buildings are closed for exciting redevelopment works, Poole Museum Foundation members continue to be very important to us and we will be continuing to engage with you throughout the year.
Look out for Poole Museum at 'Museum on the Move' events in the local community, at libraries and in schools.
NEW FOR 2025
There will be a new and exciting programme for PMF members coming soon including behind the scenes hard-hat tours of the redeveloped museum site and be first to hear about new events, workshops and talks taking place at Poole Museum.
Joe Raine from Poole Museum's curator team presents an interesting talk on some of the 400 items within the museum's World Cultures Collection including the mysterious Manchu Samurai outfit - can you or anyone you know shine more light on the story?

Bournemouth University's Tom Cousins,
Diving and Maritime Archaeology Officer
presents a fascinating talk on The Mortar Wreck: Poole's' very own Medieval Shipwreck and sets the scene of the time with exciting videos and photographs of artefacts being found.
Some of which will feature in our new Marine Archaeology Gallery when we re-open, first time on public display!
